T H E C O U R S E
At Studio Italiano our courses use the contemporary communicative approach to learning, and combine three main components.
Conversational skills
The focus is on building each individual's confidence in expressing themselves in Italian, with correct pronunciation and intonation. We use conversational topics together with situational language structures to help students develop their skills and confidence in verbal exchanges. We aim to have students speaking Italian from lesson one.

Grammar
Grammar plays an important part in learning and understanding any language. Students begin by learning the basic functions of Italian grammar which relate to each conversational topic in class. Each student's confidence will grow with every class, as will their knowledge of important grammatical concepts.
During the last part of each lesson, students will be exposed to the cultural aspects of Italy. We will explore some of Italy's famous tourist destinations as well as some 'undiscovered' havens. We'll also look at how the language is used in modern Italian music, film and food preparation.
This combination ensures that each student will be constantly challenged and gain great satisfaction with their achievements.
Social Activities
Throughout the year students in all levels had wine and food classes as well as outings to Italian restaurants and the opening of the Italian film festival.
